ANCEVILLE – TURIN

The Palazzo del Lavoro by Nervi is the wonderful scenery of the Annual Conference of the National Association of Builders (ANCE). The comparison with this temple of contemporary architecture, combined with a reduced budget, it is the starting point for the creation of a no place, inspired by that of the film Dogville by Lars Von Trier, where the two-dimensional set design was draw only on the ground.

In the same way, in Anceville, paths and areas are drawn on the floor. The project is reduced to its graphic essentiality; lines define metaphorically and physically space, resizing the macro-scale of the Nervi’s palace.
