It houses 20 apartments of various layouts, each with dual exposure (street-facing and park-facing).

The intervention on the Redentore is characterized by a brick-clad base, articulated with pilasters of different sizes, which extends from Piazza Hermada along via Cocchi up to Piazza Toselli, transforming into the platform on which the two new villas rise. The brick base acts as a strong landscape element, defining public spaces and new entrances, contributing to a perception of unity and contemporaneity within the context.

The inner façade (facing south) is characterized by the steel structure of the terraces: a regular grid behind which the openings and divisions of the various units are arranged. Horizontal louvered screens and partially glazed railings ensure appropriate shading and openness towards the condominium park.

VILLA ANGELICA – A CLASSIC APARTMENT IN A PRESTIGIOUS RESIDENCE

Villa Angelica is the oldest building in the complex, dating back to the eighteenth century, and is undoubtedly the building with the highest historical and cultural value.

Villa Angelica has been renovated and divided into 8 large and refined apartments. The contemporary intervention is expressed in the central part of the façade facing the park, which hosts a steel-frame grid that defines and highlights the new terraces and west-facing openings.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=””]

This projecting element accentuates the symmetry (typical of the building’s historic character) already suggested by the two preserved lateral wings, in order to maintain the historical and elegant character of the building.

Villa Angelica, located within the plot, ideally separates the Redentore from the new building and their respective rear green areas—communal for the former and private for the new villas.

THE VILLAS – YOUR HILLTOP VILLA SURROUNDED BY GREENERY

The two newly constructed villas are two-story buildings divided into four apartments. Built on the eastern part of the plot, they face Piazza Toselli and are designed to create spaces suitable for contemporary living, highlighting through their design the modern addition to the historic core.

The ground-floor apartments each enjoy a large private garden with exclusive views of Piazza Toselli. The first-floor apartments feature spacious terraces overlooking both the hill and the city.

The apartments, distinguished and differentiated through the use of various materials, are designed so that projecting volumes, careful internal distribution, and precisely arranged openings ensure adequate privacy and optimal exposure.

In this way, the intervention offers three distinct buildings with diverse characteristics, finishes, and customizations, targeted at different user groups.

Particular attention has been paid to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, such as exterior shading elements, whose components are oriented according to solar exposure, ensuring high levels of comfort and energy savings.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]DESIGN TEAM

+studio architetti – Filippo Orlando, Adele Boggio, Giorgio Salza

TRAstudio

Mediapolis Engineering – Silvano Vedelago, Sara Musso, Cristina Vai[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]CLIENT

Compagnia immobiliare Hermada[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]LOCATION

piazza Hermada, Torino[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]MENTIONS

Selected project for 111 Architetture Torino Contemporanea by Urban Lab[/vc_column_text][lab_button title=”TORINO URBAN LAB” type=”standard” size=”btn-small” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Furbanlabtorino.it%2Fincontri%2F111architetture%2F||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9959″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9497″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9960″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9500″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9494″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9425″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center” css_animation=”top-to-bottom”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9961″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9454″ img_size=”800X800″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9447″ img_size=”800X800″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9419″ img_size=”520X800″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9420″ img_size=”520X800″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9421″ img_size=”520X800″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Foto Fabio Oggero[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”9968,9967,9966,9965,9964,9963″ img_size=”1600×1000″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”9958″ img_size=”1600×1000″ alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=””] Borgo Hermada Turin, Italy [2018-2021][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=””] The intervention consists of three formally independent buildings, connected by shared condominium pathways: two undergo renovation—Palazzo Redentore (former Convent) and Villa Angelica—while the third is a new construction comprising two villas with four apartments.
