The feasibility study for the residential building in Castiglione Torinese is conceived as a redevelopment intervention involving the replacement of an existing industrial structure, aimed at the functional reactivation of the site and the regeneration of the urban space. The project is based on an analysis of planning parameters, setback requirements and relationships with the surrounding built context, defining a compact volume compliant with the buildable perimeter, subsequently articulated through subtractive operations.<\/p>\n

The carved volume allows for the optimization of usable floor areas and a reduction in perceived volumetric impact, while ensuring that all residential units have access to private outdoor spaces such as loggias, terraces and private gardens. The volumetric subtractions also generate an internal courtyard functioning as a distributive hinge and access space, organizing pedestrian circulation, ensuring clear legibility of entrances and regulating the transition between public space and residential domains.<\/p>\n

The intervention completely redefines the system of open spaces, replacing an area previously occupied by a warehouse and a parking lot with a structured urban layout composed, in addition to the new building and the redesign of the existing parking area, of a new public square, connecting pedestrian paths and green mitigation areas.<\/p>\n

The relationship between public and private spaces is mediated by an integrated system of public and private greenery, vegetated buffers and extensive green roofs, serving mitigation and environmental integration purposes. The functional organization and distribution of floor areas define a residential intervention coherent with the urban context and the area\u2019s regeneration strategies.<\/p>\n
