The new reception’s gallery reinterprets the guide’s lines of the original project: the front and the coverage solution. At the same time declines in a contemporary and functional way the desire Cardinal Maurizio’s desire of equipping the compendium cloisters defined by scenes of trees specifically designed for meditation. The formal solution for the elevation’s gallery takes inspiration from the trees’ scenes and its thick squared foliage typical of the “italian palissades” of the Renaissance gardens. The facade cladding brick of the volumes aimed for services and the new retaining walls of the existing thermal centre, remind us of the bricks’ shades used in old porticoes connected to the Villa.

The choice to differentiate the new intervention from clear shades characteristic of calcareous stone and plaster of the walls and parapets present in the stately parts gardens and in the panoramic view-point, is due to a refined relationship with the actual villa and the desire to begin the context by resorting to a natural colour contrast.
